Adaptive Detection in Compound-gaussian Clutter with Inverse Gaussian Texture

چکیده
This paper mainly deals with the problem of target detection in the presence of Compound-Gaussian (CG) clutter with the Inverse Gaussian (IG) texture and the unknown Power Spectral Density (PSD). The traditional CG distributions, in particular the K distribution and the complex multivariate t distribution, are widely used for modeling the real clutter data from the High-Resolution (HR) radars. Recently, the novel CG distribution with the IG texture is described as the IG-CG distribution and validated to provide the better fit with the recorded data of the HR clutter than the mentioned two competitors. Within the IG-CG framework, the detector is firstly proposed here in terms of the two-step Generalized Likelihood Ratio Test (GLRT) criterion, and the empirical estimation method is resorted to estimate the unknown PSD in order to adapt the realistic scenario. The proposed detector is tested on the real-life HR clutter data, in comparison with the Adaptive Normalized Matched Filter (ANMF) processor, and the detection results illustrate that it outperforms the ANMF.

Coherent CFAR detection in compound Gaussian clutter with inverse gamma texture
Recent publications have explored coherent radar detection in a compound Gaussian clutter environment with inverse gamma texture, since the latter clutter model has been validated for X-band high-resolution maritime surveillance radar clutter returns. This paper explores the development of coherent constant false alarm rate (CFAR) detectors for this scenario. In the first instance, a detector i...
متن کاملAdaptive Signal Detection in Auto-Regressive Interference with Gaussian Spectrum
A detector for the case of a radar target with known Doppler and unknown complex amplitude in complex Gaussian noise with unknown parameters has been derived. The detector assumes that the noise is an Auto-Regressive (AR) process with Gaussian autocorrelation function which is a suitable model for ground clutter in most scenarios involving airborne radars. The detector estimates the unknown...
متن کاملA Glrt for Radar Detection in the Presence of Compound-gaussian Clutter and Additive White Gaussian Noise
This paper addresses the detection problem for a signal with constant, but unknown amplitude in disturbance containing compound-Gaussian clutter plus additive white noise. Specifically, a new generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT) is presented for the clairvoyant case. Previously developed GLRT expressions addressing the compound-Gaussian clutter problem have considered the ‘clutter only’ cas...

This paper mainly deals with the problem of target detection in compound-Gaussian clutter with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) radar. First, the OFDM measurement model is developed to compound-Gaussian clutter by taking advantage of frequency diversity of OFDM radar waveform and we devise a generalized likelihood rate test (GLRT) detector where the target scattering coefficien...
متن کاملRange-Spread Target Detection in Compound Gaussian Clutter with Reciprocal of the Square Root of Gamma Texture
In this paper, the range-spread target detection in compound Gaussian clutter with reciprocal of the square root of gamma (RSRG) texture is investigated. The RSRG distribution has been proved to be a good model for texture component of extremely heterogeneous radar clutter. Taking this compound Gaussian model as a spherically invariant random process (SIRP), the Neyman-Pearson optimal detector ...
